Well, we brought him in and we rubbed him off and the first thing we noticed was that he had an awful cold. His nose was running and his voice was very hoarse, just like you and I get.
And we said, "Grandmother, what should we do for the pig? He's got a cold.''
“Well,” she said, "I think it would be good to take some hot lard and put it on a piece of flannel and wrap it around his throat."
So we did. And we put Runt Pig to bed in his box. It was a bigger box than that first box we had because he had grown a little. But he never had grown up to be a big pig like we hoped he would.
