So we took off our shoes and stockings and climbed the fence, we three little girls, and we got over into the muddy, dirty slop that the pigs were running around in. We got all of the pigs out of the way and we cornered this one in the corner of the fence and we all fell on him at once. Between us we caught him.
Poor little thing, he was squealing and crying and frightened to death. I, being the biggest and I think the fastest, pretty nearly squashed him when I fell on him.
Anyway, I gathered him up in my apron that I had on and tied him up like you would in a bag and I said, "I've got him! I've got him!"
And then I said, ''What am I going to do now?"
Well, the boy who was standing on the other side of the fence laughing said, "I wish you could see yourself, you're the most horrible looking mess I've ever saw in my life!”
I said, "I don't care. I've got the pig."
