So finally, he helped us get over the fence with the pig and we ran in the house and said, ''Look see what we've got!” And Grandmother said, ''Whatever have you got there?" You've got more dirt than anything else."
We said, “But lookit here,” and we showed her the little black, tiny pig. She said, "But what in the world do you want a dirty pig like that for?"
We said, "Because he's our very own and we're going to feed him and make him big and fat and nice and he's going to be a big pig like all the rest of them."
Grandmother said, ''Well then I hope he will, but I don't believe he will." We said, "You just watch and see."
