Once again, the Spirit of God is doing what He’s done throughout
this chapter. He’s calling attention to the vertical (Heavenly)
relationship. Let me summarize, by underscoring the great
principle. Wives, submit to your husbands. Children, submit to
your parents. Slaves, submit to your masters. IT DOESN’T SAY
THAT! It says, wives look to the Lord, in order that you might
submit to your husband. Children, obey your parents in the Lord.
Slaves, do it unto Christ. It’s union with Jesus Christ. Again, a
great principle, and blessed responsibility.

If I’m surrendered to the Lord Jesus Christ, being rightly
related to Him. I am not going to have trouble, in my people
relationships on earth.

Chapter 31 Spiritual Warfare 6:10-24

“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His
might. Put on the full armor of God, that you might be able to
stand firm against the schemes of the devil, for our struggle
is not against flesh and blood; but against the rulers, against
the powers, against the world forces of this darkness,
against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly
places.”

“Finally,” or “Let’s bring this thing to a climax”. Everything has
been moving toward this. It’s a consummation, a goal. In that
sense, this section is the summit, of the book of Ephesians. In
6:10, we have the culmination of everything that’s been on the
heart of God. Everything, He intended for us to have, and how to
live richly in Him. He’s going to do two things. He’s going to
summarize what has gone before, and then clinch it in our hearts,
to make it real.
