That’s what’s first in my Bible. I’ll tell you why. It’s true! Just
come with your heart first. Before the foundation of the earth,
God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, had an
eternal thought. And you were it! He never started to love you,
and He never started to think about you. You are older than the
ocean and the sky.

Do you realize that before the foundation of the earth, and before
you were born, He knew all about you. He knew how many times
you’d blow it, falling flat on your face. How many times you’d
rebel and sin. He knew the seasons when you would argue with
Him. Grow cold and indifferent. He chose you anyway. Isn’t that
marvelous! It’s too big for anything but faith! Let God burn that
into your heart.

Wouldn’t it be shocking, if an archaeologist found his name,
address and phone number, carved in some ancient rock? You
ought to be more shocked than that! Your name is written on the
Rock of Ages. Before the foundations of the world, your name
was written in God’s heart.

Chapter 6 God Only Gives Christ 1:1-14

God has given us this book in order to accomplish a very
wonderful thing in our lives. Let me read from Job 22:23-26,

“If you return to the Almighty you will be restored. If you
remove unrighteousness from your tent and place your gold
in the dust, the gold of Ophir as the stones of the brook, then
the Almighty will be your gold and choice silver to you; then
you will delight in the Almighty and you will lift up your face
to God.”
