old way you want. Do your own thing. The law doesn’t apply to
us. God forgives the lazy and careless.”
No, these are designated gifts, they don’t’ lead to a slipshod life.
They are designed to make you holy, to make you pure, and to
deliver you from sin. “It’s spiritual wealth, for spiritual
health”. He longs for a holy people and an unblemished Bride.
Christians love to quote Romans 8:28,
“All things work together for good to them that love God, to
them who are called according to His purpose.”
Some in immaturity or simplicity, think that it might help them get
out of some difficult problem. When God chooses not to deliver
them in the fashion they had hoped, it often produces a greater
lack of faith than they had before. If they would read just one
verse more, it would all be clearly understood. Romans 8:29 tells
us the purpose and heart of what God meant by all things working
for the good. Romans 8:29,
“For whom he did foreknow, He also did predestinate to be
conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the
firstborn among many brethren.”
All things will work together, to help God conform you to the
image of His Son. Ask Jacob, who’s intimate encounter with the
Lord, ends with a serious limp, and a new name. Ask Job, who
learned to surrender to a God of love, which led him to a vision of
his Redeemer (Jesus). Ask Ezekiel, who’s dream of being a
priest like his father, was destroyed as completely as was the
temple and the city of God. God Himself sent the cruel and
merciless Babylonians to physically chasten His wife (Israel).
But in order to strengthen and encourage Ezekiel, God gave him
visions of heaven. God showed him His heavenly throne, alive
and well on earth. Ezekiel was made the first “heart priest”. He
