in their suffering, and that He has a greater purpose in allowing it.
Just as it is impossible for you not to suffer when your children or
loved ones suffer, so it is impossible for the Lover of our souls not
to feel all of our pain.

II Corinthians 4:7-12, “But we have this treasure in earthen
vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not
of us. We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are
perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast
down, but not destroyed; Always bearing about in the body the
dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made
manifest in our body. For we which live are alway delivered unto
death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made
manifest in our mortal flesh. So then death worketh in us, but
        life in you.”

II Corinthians 4:17-18 “For our light affliction, which is but for
a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal
weight of glory; While we look not at the things which are seen,
but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are
seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are
        eternal.”

         Studying EPHESIANS to Know God

Chapter 16 The Mystery Revealed 3:1-21

You’ll notice that chapter 3 is sort of a big parenthesis. One
commentator worded it this way, “Paul hates to leave the theme of
chapters 1-3, and had trouble getting to chapter 4.” I think he’s
accurate on that. Notice in 3:1, if you have the New American
Standard, there’s a dash after verse one,
