ADMINISTRATOR’S LETTER
Dearest Imaging Team Members,
This month of May, I want to recognize our exceptional Imaging
Nurses, especially as we celebrate Nurses Week, May 6th
through May 12. Thank YOU to Denise, Sarah, Alvin, Sandy,
Tom, Patti, Melissa, Vicky, Marybeth, and Sherry for your
compassion and dedication to our patients! We know times are
challenging, nevertheless you arrive to work every day, with
positive energy and high spirits, ever ready to tackle any
challenge brought your way! Thank YOU!
I also wanted to extend my sincere appreciation to our entire
department. The past month certainly hasn’t been easy. Many of
our team members have been redeployed to COVID+ units, while others have redeployed to new
modalities within the department to lend a hand and showcase your hidden talents. Thank YOU
for your strength and courage as you navigate a new environment with new co-workers! You’re an
inspiration to us all!
With change after change, every minute of the day, I have been so impressed by the flexibility of
our department. We have set up an X-ray and Ultrasound room in the COVID+ Overflow Clinic
and have performed over 5 COVID+ exams in the clinic, many thanks to our Diagnostic and
Ultrasound Technologists for creating a new workflow and for their bravery entering this new
COVID+ Clinic. We have also COMPLETELY changed the way we are asking our outpatients to
arrive on-site. With only 6 waiting room chairs available, we have switched to a virtual check in
process for our outpatients. Big kudos to Chris and Alisha in the call center and Shashana and
Joyce at the front desk for learning a new process and adapting so quickly. Donna Grover has also
become our primary COVID+ scheduler and coordinator for Bayview, as she works closely with
Radiology Leadership across the enterprise to schedule COVID+ and PUI patients here at
Bayview! Thank YOU all for your willingness to jump right into a new routine!
I honestly cannot say thank you enough for the incredible teamwork that I have observed and
experienced this past month! It has truly been an all-hands on deck experience. I am so grateful
for the brilliant minds and creativity that have helped us all navigate these unchartered waters.
This month of May, be sure you take a moment for yourself to breathe, reflect, and refocus. Take
care of yourself and your family! Happy Mother’s Day and Memorial Day to all!
To Your Health,
Emily Lee
