Nicole Carey – Interventional Radiology Technologist

In the 18 months since Nicole joined the interventional radiology team, she has proven to

be an extraordinary addition to the imaging family. Whether she is pacifying a colleague by
providing a substitute lanyard or exercising the full breadth of her ARRT postprimary credentials

in Computed Tomography and Vascular-Interventional Radiography, Nicole has no qualms about
doing whatever it takes to get the job done.

The remarkable range of Nicole’s skills began to bloom in December, when she started to
perform many of the CT guided interventional procedures for the CT team. This allowed the
CT team to maintain better staffing levels in the main department, while also providing the

Interventional Radiologist with, as Dr. Carmi would describe, a “PHENOMONAL” technologist
able to flawlessly anticipate their wants and needs.

Throughout the organization’s response to the COVID-19 Pandemic, Nicole has spent a
vast majority of her time in the CT department, all while still pulling call and performing

emergent procedures in IR. Nicole’s flexibility and willingness to jump in wherever she is
needed, provides the imaging department with an unparalleled ability to better quickly address

the ever-changing needs of the world around us.
