                ST ANDREW’S DAY
We would wager that the majority of our pupils would name St Andrew’s Day as their favourite school day of the year. Most say “It’s legendary!”.

The day’s celebrations got off to a rousing start with the whole school community coming together to watch the Pre-Prep
hat parade. This was followed by the traditional formal service led by the Headmaster after which the Year 8 children ‘took charge’ of the school and organised stalls and games around the site for the rest of the Prep school to enjoy. The list of games was huge and included obstacle courses and mazes, hair and make-up styling, a haunted trip to the movies, table-
tennis, a pie in the face, a glow in the dark experience, Nerf wars and, yes, sumo wrestling! The children had a ball! A roast with all the trimmings provided the perfect opportunity for the children to replenish their energies before getting ready for the much anticipated St Andrew’s Day show. Arranged and hosted by our gappies, the extravaganza included dancing, songs and sketches from our pupils and somewhat over-eager staff!
St Andrew’s Day is my favourite day of the year because you feel free. There are so many fun games in all areas of the school and everyone is in a happy mood. I love it.
