 DISTINCTIVE BOARDING
We could talk about what we missed in the summer term in the Boarding House, but I’m going to talk about the positives of this academic year in Colstocks. And there were many.
Firstly the accolades.We were delighted to hear that St Andrew’s Prep was named finalist in two awards ceremonies this year. Firstly, the International Student Experience category in the Independent Schools of theYear Awards hosted by Independent School Parent magazine and secondly the Boarding House Extension or Refurbishment category in the Boarding School Association’s Awards.This really does highlight our outstanding offering to our pupils and their families from overseas. I am thrilled that the hard work of my boarding team has been recognised alongside our maintenance andfacilitiesteams. And,thesenominationscameswiftlyonthebackofourinclusion in The Good Schools Guide for Boarding Schools which focuses on the culture, ethos
and unique personality of schools. So it is clear that St Andrew’s Prep really does understand what our national and international families are looking for.
And so to the House. At the beginning of the year, we launched a new initiative offering our boarders fun but educational exeat trips to historical English cities with our staff. They were a huge hit and offered some children a potentially more
I’m very proud of the fact that I was assigned with the role of Boarding Prefect and that I had a chance to serve others. I’ve learnt that to respect each other is the best way to enjoy life.
