             8) What percentage of the DNA of the original cell is
present in each new cell after meiosis?
                      25%
                      50%

             9) True or False: The cells produced from mitosis are
called diploids because they have two complete sets of
             chromosomes.
                      TRUE
                      FALSE
             10) During the process of binary fission, a cell will grow
to ______ its normal size before splitting and forming
             two separate cells.
                      One-fourth
                      One-half
                      Twice
                      Quadruple
                      None of the Above

                           Cell Nucleus

The nucleus is perhaps the most important structure
inside animal and plant cells. It is the main control center
for the cell and acts kind of like the cell's brain. Only
eukaryotic cells have a nucleus. In fact, the definition of a
eukaryotic cell is that it contains a nucleus while a
prokaryotic cell is defined as not having a nucleus.
