A heavy jet can carry more passengers and travel farther,
or to South America can do so comfortably with room to walk about in the stand-up cabin.
On the other hand, a couple headed to Palm Beach or Bermuda may opt to travel in something a little lighter such as a midsize jet – south Florida and the Bahamas are within range of a light jet, for example.
