General Lake St. Clair “No Wake” Zones

The Macomb County Marine Sheriff

describes the rules as follows:

• NO WAKE within 100’ from: Shore,

Swimming Areas, Swimmers, Anchored

Boats & Rafts

• St. Clair Shores has their own ordinance in

front of the Nautical Mile. NO WAKE zone

600’ from shore. This is roughly between

11 Mile Road and the border of

Grosse Pointe Shores.

• Speed Limit on Lake St. Clair: Maximum
