The terminal is strategically located in Merak, Banten, West Java which is a main
shipping route for bulk liquid chemicals. The Merak peninsula has the highest
concentration of petrochemical facilities (more than 40 plants) in Indonesia. The
terminal is well balanced over three market segments: Industrial terminal, captive
distribution (producers) and trade distribution.
Additionally, it has the Bonded Logistics Center- or the PLB-certification to operate
a warehouse or logistics center, offering customers the flexibility to store goods in
the warehouse for up to three years and still receive tax incentives.
