U-TECK has taken a field-proven and craft-accepted design the Splicer Seat
and incorporated it into The WorkCenter, the newly designed Ergo Splicer
Seat workstation. The upper portion of this seat removes easily, making setup

The WorkCenter as a complete unit is available to be ordered, or you can
purchase a simple kit that will retro fit the thousands of existing Splicer Seats that are being used by most
companies today. This will result in a tremendous savings for your individual budget.
This multipurpose unit is also the toolbox that personnel are accustomed to, which lets them keep their tools and
materials conveniently located during an entire operation.
U-TECK has also designed a new Universal Splicing Head Adapter for mounting splicing heads to the seat base.
This adapter will accept virtually any splicing machine. It may be mounted in different locations to accommodate
the preference of the individual splicer. This makes The WorkCenter a complete workstation.

Fiber Optic Protector Sleeve
U-TECK’s Fiber Optic Protector Sleeve was developed to protect and
strengthen fusion splices on fiber optic cables.
The construction of the three protective and strengthening elements of the
Fiber Optic Sleeve is distinctive in the function that each provides.
The inner stainless steel pin keeps the sleeve rigid and stable. The pin is
vibratory tumbled with a special medium. This eliminates the possibility
of fiber scarring or material penetration, both of which could damage the
sensitive glass fibers.
The inner tube is made of a specially designed material that compresses. The fiber splice becomes
encapsulated within the inner tube.
The outer tube is manufactured of a heat-shrinking polyolefin. This encloses the inner tube and the
encapsulated fiber splice, providing double protection and ensuring that moisture and air are eliminated from the
fiber splice.
U-TECK’s Fiber Optic Protector Sleeve is available in a standard length of 2 3/8” and is adaptable to all
standard organizers; however, other lengths are available upon request. (Each package contains 50 sleeves)
