BUILDING
FROM A STRONG FOUNDATION
The Tampa Y’s first facility, built on Zack Street in Downtown Tampa back in 1908.
We have been Building Community in Tampa Since 1889.
From our beginnings on Zack Street to our presence across Tampa Bay, our roots run deep. Youth Development, Healthy Living and Social Responsibility are the heart of our work.
We have been making significant progress on our Strategic Plan (2023- 2026), which was launched last year. This Annual Report captures how
the Tampa YMCA strengthened our community in 2024, focusing on strategic priorities that enhance and impact the lives of those we serve.
As we look to a bright future, we are making headway with our capital projects like the Tampa Heights Development project and the Central City YMCA, which have received final approval from the Tampa City Council. We look forward to these being a major
community boost on multiple levels. Additionally, the Spurlino Family YMCA gymnasium is nearing completion, and the Wesley Chapel YMCA has begun the permitting process. We are truly Building.
We are privileged to be here for our communities whether it’s to provide support following back-to-back storms, ensuring we are there for respite, childcare or to house first responders
– or to fill critical community voids by launching necessary initiatives, we are here FOR ALL.
