BUILDING
FOR TOMORROW
Globally the YMCA has been building mind, spirit and body for all for over 180 years!
Our wide array of health and wellness programming makes us the go-to for a variety of initiatives. These include: the Y Diabetes Prevention Program, Pedaling for Parkinson’s, personal training and Enhance® Fitness - a CDC-designated Falls Prevention Program that improves the quality of life for those with arthritis through low-impact exercise. Not only do these programs provide fitness, but also social opportunities that help participants get healthier and build new friendships, which helps strengthen our communities.
This year we also launched the Thrivers Club, a cancer support group for children ages 6-17. The free 12-week initiative
provides low-impact weekly sessions that help develop coordination and decrease deconditioning (fatigue) resulting from cancer treatment. Thrivers offers the household family and participant a 12-week free YMCA membership to take group exercise classes, swim/play in the pool, use the wellness floor and enjoy all Y member perks.
A healthy community is a happy community and one that looks to tomorrow while coming together today. It is our privilege to bring people together over shared interests. Book Club, Pickleball, Providing Connectedness to Seniors – and more –
we are For All.
