ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

The editors of volume 16 of The Bridge would like to thank a number of people for their roles in
making the publication of this journal possible. Throughout the years, faculty and library staff have
been constant supporters of the students and the journal. Previous faculty advisors, through their
wisdom and dedication, have lit the path for student editors on the journey of creation since 2004.
It is thanks to them that The Bridge has been able to grow and change with the artistic vision of the
        student body.

This past year we have been fortunate to work with Evan Dardano as our faculty advisor. His passion
for the arts has inspired a drive in us that helped us find our way to the finished version of the journal,
while his experience in publishing kept us on track when we needed direction. We’ve also been able
to work alongside graduate student Jill Boger, who has spent years as a member of our staff and
provided constant, vital insight throughout the editorial process. Evan and Jill have left their mark
on the journal and the students they have worked with, for which we are grateful.

The publication of this journal would be impossible without Lori LeComte, whose unwavering
support and diligent work has been vital to creating The Bridge, and both Ann Brunjes and Kim
Davis, whose guidance keeps the English department moving forward.

The faculty of both the English and art departments play a vital role in the creation of The Bridge and
we are grateful for the time spent helping students complete the work featured in the journal. The art
created at Bridgewater State University is a reflection of the passion of both students and faculty, and
we are honored to be a part of their artistic journeys. We are especially grateful for the support that
Kathi Brazil, Rob Lorenson, and Alain Blunt have offered us and our contributors.

We also extend our thanks to the administrators at the Office of the President, the Office of the
Provost, and Academic Affairs, particularly the Dean of Undergraduate Studies, Rita Miller and,
from the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, Dean Arnaa Alcon, Interim Associate Dean
Michael McClintock, Madelyn Dias, and Robin Costa-Sullivan for making it possible for us to
        continue creating.

For their role in helping us to amplify the visual and tactile experience our readers experience with
the journal, we thank Jaime Knight, Assistant Director of Creative Services and Publications, and
        Cady Parker, our design consultant.

We are grateful for the help of Donna Balkcom and Sarah Wood, whose industrious work at the copy
center allows us to edit everything from our first drafts to our final copies before print, and to the
Mail Services and Maxwell Library staff, who make it possible to organize and distribute The Bridge
when it is delivered each year.

To our readers and contributors, we say thank you for providing us with the opportunity to experience
the art and literature included in this journal. It is a privilege each year to view your submissions and
        share them with our community.
