that it would withdraw from the selection for the World Cup in that
year for medical reasons.His retirement from the selection after a
friendly face to Paraguay on October 7, 2006

Awards: An important member of the football team of his country in
the years 1990, participating in the Olympics of 1992 and being one of
the players with most games played with the absolute selection.
