A.1.2 Hazardous Substance Under CIMAH
Based on the total inventory of the substance on site, the Company Management
has been directed by the Director-General of the Department of Occupational Safety
and Health (DOSH) to prepare the Report on Industrial Activity under Regulations
No.14 of the CIMAH Regulations 1996.
The hazardous substances as defined under CIMAH regulations 1996 are (i)
Chlorine and (ii) Sodium Silicofluoride.
The total quantity of Chlorine stored onsite (KT1 & KT2) at the time of assessment
was 12.6 tonnes (Te) and Sodium Silicofluoride was 5.4 tonnes (Te) as stipulated in
the JKKP5 (Appendix A1). The quantity of Chlorine stored onsite has exceeded the
threshold quantity of 10 tonnes as specified in Part 1 of Schedule 2 of the CIMAH
Regulations 1996. On the other hand, the quantity of Sodium Silicofluoride has
exceeded 10% of the 10-tonne threshold quantity but below the 100% threshold
quantity as specified in the Item 2 of Schedule 1 CIMAH Regulations 1996.

A.1.3 Physical and Chemical Properties
The physical and chemical properties of Chlorine and Sodium Silicofluoride are
extracted from the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) provided by the supplier of RSAJ (refer
to Appendix A2).
