Cardiology, Trinidad
After 1974 I did internship at San-Fernando General Hospital then returned to Mona to do the four year D.M. in Internal Medicine programme, working alongside all our Consultants, Registrars, Faulkner, Sawyer. Work in Jamaica was hectic but life was good with work, car and salary. I then went to University of Western Ontario, London, Canada and did two years subspecialty in Cardiology. IN 1981, I returned to Trinidad and being fully trained in Cardiology was able to introduce many things and help to found the Caribbean Cardiac Society and Trinidad and Tobago Heart Foundation. Cardiology meetings, conferences and lectures took me to many parts in the Caribbean and the world and led to Fellowships of the American College of Cardiology and the European Society of Cardiology. After 21 years in government and university hospitals I moved to Cross Crossing Medical Centre, a private hospital, where I work till present as Medical Director and Cardiologist.
Over the years with my family we were able to develop a free medical clinic in my childhood village as we had many medical personnel in our family. I am a Toastmaster and even came 02nd in our national Humor Contest.
Our church has been important in my life and I with my family was able to make many contributions and building renovations. For a period I was on the Board of the St. Andrews Theological College.
