The Unseen Language of the Heart
HURT
@syazwani14cats
They told me you weren’t worth saving,
That your body is like an empty ship
Abandoned and haunted for God knows how long,
Like a body without a soul, not human at all
And keeping you safe was a mistake,
That left me wounded like how you wanted.
There were too many lies, oaths and hurt,
Growing through your skin of bristling thorns,
That hurt you, me and what we wanted as one,
Like a rose you are, beautiful in your weak state,
But the venom you brew,
Was our fall together.
I’m here to tell you,
That my wounds are no longer healing
The scars are there and is still bleeding
It hurts too much to stay
So I’m letting you leave
And I hope you’d come back better, stronger
For you, while I find another.
