Lesson Plan
1. Warm-up: ‘Shake Your Sillies Out’ performed by The Wiggles See autumn lesson one. Make sure to use lots of energy!

2. Stretching and curling: Hedgehogs See autumn lesson one.
* Running time approx. 3 mins.
3. Travel to Danceland: ‘Colonel Hathi’s March’ performed by Disney Studio Chorus & J. Pat O’Malley

* Running time approx. 4 mins.
4. Introduce the theme: ‘Let’s Make a Circle’ written by Anne Porter Without speaking, get the children into a circle by singing ‘Let’s Make a Circle’ as in autumn lesson one.
Ask the children if they can remember what they learnt about last week. Ask volunteers to tell you the name and job of a person who helps us. Reveal the laminate to check how many of the people the children remembered and see if they can point out any that were forgotten.
NB: Remember to ensure your terms are not gendered. E.g. firefighter not fireman/woman.

5. Fine Motor Skills: ‘Helpful People’ written by Sarah Moss and Lucy Milan Davis

7. Action Song: ‘Bang, Bang, Bang’ (adapted from ‘Rat Tat Tat’ written by Edward Hughes and Peter Westmore)
“Now I’m going to teach you a song about people who help us by delivering letters, collecting bins and bringing us bottles of milk! Let’s start with the people who collect our bins! Everyone help me to bang on the floor and make the sound of the bins.” Hit the floor with two flat palms for each ‘bang’ as you sing the verse two times.
