7. Action Song: ‘At the Haunted House’ (tune of ‘The Wheels on the Bus’, traditional)
Sing the song twice as you perform the actions below. Encourage the children to join in with your singing the second time.
All of the witches go, “ha ha ha Ha ha ha, ha ha ha.”
All of the witches go, “ha ha ha.” At the haunted house.
All of the ghosts go, “woo woo woo”...
All of the zombies go, “we want brains, we want brains, we want brains!”... All of the giants go, “stomp stomp stomp”...
All of the fairies go, “ssh ssh ssh”...
All of the frogs go, “jump jump jump”...
Actions:
Witches - stir cauldron in time with the pulse
Ghosts - wiggle arms up and down as in the ‘Monster Mash’ dance Zombies - arms outstretched as in the ‘Monster Mash’ dance Giants - stomp feet on the ground
Fairies - pointer finger on your lips, singing quietly
Frogs - jump up and down

8. Working with Props: ‘Ghostbusters’ performed by Ray Parker Jr.
The children are cheeky ghosts and are invisible. They have each stolen a magical shaker (egg shaker) and are at a Halloween disco. Play the track and the children dance around the room. When the music stops it means the Ghostbuster has arrived and the children must freeze and be as quiet as possible so that the Ghostbuster can’t hear them. You as the teacher play the part of the Ghostbuster. Pretend you can’t see them, but you can still hear them if they move their magical shakers. Tell them that if everyone is very quiet when the music stops, they will earn their magic sparkles.
