ABOUT
ANIMAHENASYON
In an effort to build an audience, awareness and development of original contents, ACPI
organizes an annual animation festival called Animahenasyon that showcases original
Filipino animated works of both aspiring and professional animators in the country
through a competition.
Also part of the festival is the animation conference, art workshops, exhibition screening
featuring animation works from other countries, exhibits and other side activities.
Animahenasyon is the Filipino equivalent of animagination, as a result of combining the
words “animation” and “imagination” (imahenasyon). It is also about the image (imahe)
that we want to portray as a nation (nasyon) of animators to the world.
But Animahenasyon is more than just a showcase of what the Filipino animators can
do. It is really a harvest (ani) of the Filipino talent and creativity. It is a celebration of the
Philippine animation industry.
Animahenasyon aims to serve as the venue to showcase, both domestically and
internationally, Flipino talent in the area of animation. Likewise, it aims to promote
collaboration among all industry stakeholders, networking among international guest
animators, among others.
Animahenasyon serves as a venue for animation professionals and enthusiasts to
present their world-class ideas and showcase their talents both locally and internationally.
The festival opens doors of opportunities and provides a chance for the artists to meet
and be inspired by the finest names in the industry. Likewise, Animahenasyon promotes
collaboration among all industry stakeholders and networking among international guest
animators, among others.
Animahenasyon aims to:
1. Give further progress to the growth of Philippine animation industry and its
contributions to the global animation industry.
2. Have access to locally produced animation content for promotion in animation
markets here and abroad to showcase the talent of the Filipinos.
3. Encourage potential talents to explore the many career opportunities available
in the industry and hone their skills through competition.
4. Provide a venue for exchange among animators, producers, industry sup-
porters, investors, stakeholders and other possible business networking, and
matching opportunities.
