temperature has always been in flux and that carbon
dioxide is a natural gas that is the basis of all life on
earth. He explains how the belief in climate change has

THE RULE-OF-LAW

When the federal government bailed out General
Motors in 2009, it ignored current bankruptcy laws and
picked the winners and losers. The government paid
auto unions in full because of their generous political
contributions but short-changed bondholders and the
non-union members at Delphi, GM’s former parts
subsidiary. Delphi, which underwent one of the largest
corporate bankruptcies in U.S. history, lost all of its
health and life insurance benefits, and 70,000 retirees
lost 65% of their benefits.

When government intervenes on an ad-hoc basis,
it introduces uncertainty into the mix. Trouble begins
when businesses spend less money on research and
development and more on rent-seeking. This
partnership between big business and government is an
example of crony capitalism which is a destructive
