it does not restore Medicare and Medicaid payments to
their previous levels, healthcare providers will
experience losses.
The Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs
(OIRA) is responsible for examining regulatory actions
from a neutral analytical perspective, divorced from the
influence of special interest groups. The OIRA is
responsible for making sure that new regulations do
more good than harm. Second, the OIRA coordinates
agencies to minimize conflicts and duplication. Third,
the agency is responsible for ensuring that the rules are
consistent with the law and the president’s policies.
INFRASTRUCTURE
As part of the Trump plan to rejuvenate America’s
infrastructure, he has called for $550 million in federal
spending. Most of this spending would entail a close
partnership between the federal government and private
companies. He has proposed granting tax breaks equal
to 87% up to $187 billion in equity that companies
invest in infrastructure projects.
The idea is that this partnership would leverage
the $550 billion into one trillion dollars in new
infrastructure spending. If all goes according to plan,
the taxes on the newly created jobs and contractors’
profits will cover the full costs of the projects.
THE BELT and ROAD INITIATIVE
President Trump may be a maverick in America,
but he could be in the mainstream on the world stage. In
