About Career Services & Outreach
North Carolina Central University Career Services & Outreach is
a department within the division of Student A airs, designed to serve as a space for students that desire assistance in their journey toward their future careers. Housed in the William Jones Building, NCCU Ca- reer Services & Outreach has a sta of seven career professionals and 10 student Career Eagle O cers that are always present to help stu- dents in need. The sta and students are charged with working along- side Career Services sta to create and market career events, research new resources, and provide career services such as resume critiques, mock interviews, and job search support.
Communication Role
NCCU Career Services and Outreach’s role is to also serve as the campus liaison for companies that would like to hire student. Ms. Christy Dunston serves as our employer and public relations manager for the department. She is also in charge of establishing on-campus campaigns that are designed to connect students with employers. On of our campaigns include a program titled “Career Views”. Career Views give students a rsthand experience at learning more about an
