that in order to stay in Israel we must keep the mitzvot. Again, we can work hard and immerse
ourselves in our businesses and make money but without the support of Hashem, we will not
remain in the land of Israel. We need to focus on the mitzvot and not materialism.

Why is this night of Passover different from all other nights of the year?
כּוּלוֹ ַמ ָצּה- ַה ַלּ ְי ָלה ַה ֶזּה,ֶשׁ ְבּ ָכל ַה ֵלּילוֹת ָאנוּ אוֹ ְכ ִלין ָח ֵמץ וּ ַמ ָצּה
On all other nights we eat either leavened or unleavened bread. Why on this night do we eat only
matzah?
ַה ַלּ ְי ָלה ַה ֶזּה ָמרוֹר- ,ֶשׁ ְבּ ָכל ַה ֵלּילוֹת ָאנוּ אוֹ ְכ ִלין ְשׁ ָאר ְי ָרקוֹת
On all other nights, we eat vegetables of all kinds. Why on this night must we eat bitter herbs?
ַה ַלּ ְי ָלה ַה ֶזּה ְשׁ ֵתּי ְפ ָﬠ ִמים- ,ֶשׁ ְבּ ָכל ַה ֵלּילוֹת ֵאין ֶאנוּ ַמ ְט ִבּי ִלין ֲא ִפילוּ ַפּ ַﬠם ֶא ָחת
On all other nights, we do not dip vegetables even once. Why on this night do we dip twice?
ַה ַלּ ְי ָלה ַה ֶזּה ֻכּ ָלנו ְמ ֻס ִבּין- ,ֶשׁ ְבּ ָכל ַה ֵלּילוֹת ָאנוּ אוֹ ְכ ִלין ֵבּין יוֹ ְשׁ ִבין וּ ֵבין ְמ ֻס ִבּין
On all other nights everyone sits up straight at the table. Why on this night do we recline and eat at
leisure?
Ma Nishtana - Raya Sulman (6th Grade)
The goal of the seder is to learn the story of Yetziat Mitzraim, and pass it onto the next
genera on. The Ma Nishtana is one of the central themes of the seder. It is a huge part of
Passover. Tradi onally the youngest says the Ma Nishtana. Why do we say the Ma Nishtana?
What is so important about it saying it? We say the Ma Nishtana because we should ask
ques ons at the seder. Also, it is always good to wonder about something. It is good to
wonder, as wonder causes collabora on. When a lot of people have a seder and discuss the
story of Yetziat Mitzraim, it makes it more interes ng and fun. In school everybody uses
