Eligibility Requirements
The eligibility requirements for the TransSelect 10 Year Term Life Insurance and TransDI Plus Short-Term Disability Income Insurance, through Transamerica Life Insurance Company, Cedar Rapids, IA are as follows:
1. You must be an active member of the Longshoremen to apply for insurance.
2. You must be actively at work and able to perform all duties of your job.
3. If you are a new Longshoremen, there is a 45 day waiting period before you are eligible to enroll.
4. After the 45-day waiting period, new Longshoremen have 30 days to elect to enroll or must answer
additional medical questions..
