(Blackfoot) Ben, is that you? (Mike) No, Mr. Begay. It’s me, Mike Kelly.
(Blackfoot) Mike who? I’m an old man, go away. (Mike) Mr. Begay, it’s
Mike Kelly. Don’t you remember me? Blackfoot opens the door.
(Blackfoot) What can I do for you Mr. Kelly, at this time of the morning
that I couldn’t do later on? (Mike) I’m sorry, Mr. Begay, but I had a land
permit to get signed and I couldn’t find any of the council members to
sign it. Could you sign it and I’ll be on my way? (Blackfoot) I shouldn’t
sign anything being that I can’t see so well anymore, but you have my
trust, Mr. Kelly?
Blackfoot signed the proposal that now gives the land to the
Japanese. 50% today and in two years, 100%.
(Mike) You can go back to sleep now, Mr. Begay. (Blackfoot) Mike, before
you go. I see the mark of the coyote on you, but in time, you will make the
right choice. Good night, Mr. Kelly.
Mike goes back to the truck and tells Yoshi of the success.
(Mike) Yoshi, my friend, hold this. Congratulations, Japan is now the
owner of Red Land’s. (Yoshi) No, Mike, not Red Land’s anymore. Hiroshima
II. Bless you, my friend, I owe you my life. (Mike) Ed, drive us back to my
car and here is $1,000 for you. (Ed) Thanks, Mr. Kelly. (Mike) Yoshi, chill
kid, I would rather have cash. (Yoshi) What? (Mike) Don’t allow your
people to fuck over these Indians. Stick to our agreement. (Yoshi) Now
you need to chill, Mike. I see a new nation with Japan and the Indian
nation working together for the good of both cultures.
Switch to Yoshi and Mike at the airport the next morning.
(Mike) Yoshi, here is the ABA number for the Joint Navajo-Apache
National bank account. Now transfer the money ASAP so we can close
this deal. This won’t be an easy change for the older Indians, but they
will live with it. (Yoshi) Mike, I transferred the money last night, so
relax. I’ll see you in three weeks max, to start the new government.
