On a mount cursed by God, shamed and despised,
A place so vile and shunned by men,
There once a man was nailed;
Unbearable pain, He spilled out His heart,
To save all of mankind, from eternal death.

Who shall sever me from His love?
Shall it be grief or great suffering?
Shall it be danger or torment?
Hunger? Nakedness?
Who Is he that condemns the souls?
The Lord died upon a cross;
I shall obtain everlasting life,
The reason for His pain on earth!

Solitude was His home, each day of His life,
Despises, curses, mockeries became His daily bread;
The Lamb of our God! His sufferings were great!
All that he suffered, have moved me to tears.

The knowledge of God, His only shelter,
And with the Lord, Almighty God, he trusted all His life;
He spoke only truth, His duty on earth,
My sinful burden, He carried for me.
