Christ is the doorway to heaven,
'Twas His vow and He shall keep it;
When the Lord forgave my soul,
I was dressed with lovely vestments.

My bare feet were bare no more,
A bright ring adorned my finger;
Then He named me as a soldier,
Of His mighty, sovereign squadron;
My God is Father of love,
Every offense He forgave me.
