• Hands should be completely dry when using the system and its power supply.
• Do not operate, place, or store the system near a water source and do not clean it under running
water.
• Do not touch the device should it fall into water. Unplug power cord immediately with dry hands.
• Before cleaning or maintenance of GENEO X, adhere to instructions concerning turning off the
applicator or system.
• In case of uncertainty regarding potential side effects, have the patients consult their physician
and provide a written consent form before the treatment.
• Use of this GENEO X adjacent to or stacked with other equipment should be avoided because it
could result in improper operation. If such use is necessary, both equipment should be observed
to verify that they are operating safely.
• Do not position GENEO X in a way that will make it difficult to operate the disconnection device
when an appliance coupler or separable plug is used as isolation means.
• Portable and mobile devices are considered RF communication equipment and may affect
operation of the GENEO X system.
• Do not use GENEO X system near devices that might cause electromagnetic interference. Such
interference may be caused by electro surgery, diathermy, magnetic resonance imaging, short-
wave microwave therapy equipment or other type of equipment.
• Do not operate the GENEO X system and follow ‘Troubleshooting’ section of this User Manual if
screen display is impaired or disrupted (e.g., burned pixels, display is “stuck” or “frozen”). Pay attention to display quality during the first few seconds of the system check upon turning the device on.
FIRE HAZARDS
• Do not operate the system in the presence of explosives or highly flammable materials as alcohol,
methanol, acetone, etc.
• Do not have flammable substances in the treatment room while preparing the skin for treatment.
• If alcohol is used for disinfection, it should be placed in a distance from the system and allowed to
dry thoroughly before using the GENEO X.
CAUTIONS
• Verify you shut down the system (the ON/OFF switch is in the OFF position) before connecting or
disconnecting the applicator.
• Before connecting the power supply to the system, make sure all connections are tightly secured.
• Do not disconnect any of the system’s components or accessories while the system is turned on.
• Do not pull the power cord or the system to unplug the unit from electrical outlet.
• Switch off the system before moving it.
• In case buttons or touchscreen are nonresponsive, discontinue treatment and follow the
troubleshooting section.
• Check all connections before plugging in the system’s power cord.
• If upon performing software version update using a USB plug, an error message is displayed
regarding wrong or incomplete update, restart the system in accordance with the
troubleshooting section of this User Manual.
• Pay attention to the screen quality during the first few seconds of the system check.
• Make sure the touch screen is operating properly and all buttons are operating.
SAFETY FEATURES
• To start the treatment, the operator must press Applicator Switch.
• The system automatically identifies applicator connection and distinguishes between applicators.
