43.)And they that have done good shall go into life everlasting; [John 3:5, “ Jesus answered, Verily, Verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the Kingdom of God.” Luke 24:47, “And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.” The scripture does not say anything about doing good only to inherit eternal life] but they that have done evil, into everlasting fire.
44.) This is the Catholic faith; which except a man believe truly and firmly, he cannot be saved.
It is good to know that the word of God lets every man know that we need to believe truly and firmly upon his word with obedience to his word to inherit salvation for eternity. Not the Catholic faith. One must look to the word of God and not mankind. II Corinthians 11:3-4, 3.) “But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. 4.) For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.” Verses 13-15 of that same book and chapter says, 13.) “For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. 14.) And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. 15.) Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.” Galatians 1:6-12, “6.) I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: 7.) Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. 8.) But though we or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9.) As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. 10.) For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ. 11.) But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. 12.) For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.”
The Post-Apostolic Fathers of 90-150 A.D. were not direct apostles of Christ or were they of his teachings. Nor was Athanasius or Augustine. The Athanasian Creed is not of the direct revelation of Christ. Man and mankind’s own philosophies formed it. They manipulated Scriptures enough to make the sugar coating sweet enough to the mind and mankind’s willingness to believe in a God. In their essence, they formed gods.
Let us allow ourselves to look at some of the founders of certain other church denominations and see what they had to say about the trinity and its philosophical teachings. Here are some inserts from a few of their leaders. Notice, William Penn’s remarks concerning the Athanasian Creed.
Christian Doctrine, written by Dr. S. C. Guthrie, Jr., page 499. “The Bible does not teach the doctrine of the Trinity. Neither the word Trinity itself, nor such language as
