Page 138 - Countering Trinitarian Arguments With Historical Reference
P. 138
Above we see an image of the writing from the ancient Church found in Megiddo that was dedicated not to a Trinity but rather to the God Jesus Christ.
This site finding is very interesting for Megiddo. It is mentioned in the book of Revelation 16:16, “And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue A – ma – ged – don.” The great conflict, known as the Battle of Armageddon, mentioned in the scriptures is to take place somewhere there close by near the remains of Megiddo. Megiddo is known to have been an important fortress city of ancient Canaan. When a person continues to read on through the rest of the book of Revelation, starting with chapter 16 and verse 17, one finds out that great Babylon is mentioned. John makes mention of one of the seven angels coming to talk to him and showing him the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters. Upon the great whores forehead is written a name, “... MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.” (Revelation 17:5)
There are many denominal church organizations today, as well as of old, that have succumbed to the fornications of her teachings. One of those teachings is the Trinity. The fact is that there are not three separate deities or Gods. There is only one God and one formula of baptism in the name of that one true God, Jesus Christ. Ephesians 4:5, “One Lord, one faith, one baptism.”
Notice how Deuteronomy 6:4-5 makes reference to the greatest commandment of all. 4.) “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord: 5.) And thou shalt call love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.” Now look at Mark 12:29-30, 29.) “And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord: 30.) And thou shalt love the Lord thy God
