is the life, the soul. The blood of animals and of Jesus Christ that was shed for sins were their souls. (See Exodus 30:10; Isaiah 59:7; Psalm 94:21; Lamentations 4:13; Matthew 10:28; Hebrews 9:11-14.) We must remember that the Hebrew words for spirit and soul are different. Soul is "nepesh" and spirit is "ruach". The blood cannot be life-giving to the body independent of the spirit, just as man cannot live without the spirit as the inner man (Matthew 10:28; Luke 23:46).
When the Spirit of Cod entered the body, the living soul of the man was created, giving the spiritual personality of the inner man. Then the five senses of the man receive life from the soul. The living soul produced the five senses of the flesh (outer man). Therefore, the five senses are disciples of the soul. Before man disobeyed God and partook of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, he was innocent with no knowledge of the difference between good and evil (like a baby with his innocent and pure conscience).
Man had a will to do good. All that Adam knew was to serve and please his creator. After being deceived, he ate the forbidden fruit; the will of man was changed to know both good and evil. At the same time, the power to choose between the two was given to him. Thus, the flesh can derive its own will, aside from the spirit through the power and life of the soul by the knowl- e ge of good and evil. By the power of choice, man can become a spiritual creature in life or a carnal creature in death (Joshua 24:15; Deuteronomy

T h e outer man (flesh of man) is created to live by eating, drinking, rest ing, an exercising. These are all for the benefit of the flesh. The inner man

When the flesh suffers a mortal blow that causes the blood to flow out, the spiritdepartsfromthebloodcausingthefleshandbloodtodie. Thespirit then returns to God who gave it (Ecclesiastes 12:7). In creation, only the
flesh and soul of man were created, but the human spirit given from God is eternal. In procreation, the same nature of spirit-soul and flesh are passed
