Michael as the leading angel. In Daniel 10:13, Michael is identified as "one of the chief princes." In verse 21, he is known as the "prince of Israel." In Daniel 12:1 he is known as the "great prince." (Daniel 9:21)
Archangel appear to have the particular responsibility of protecting and prospering the Jewish nation (Exodus 23: 20-25; Daniel 10: 13, 21; 12: 1). Michael and his angels defeated Satan and his angels in their attempt to kill the man
