His word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions" (Psalm 107:20). "And I took my staff..And it was broken in that day: and so the poor of the flock that waited upon me knew that it was the word of the LORD" (Zechariah 11:10-11) (The "Dawbar" or Word of the Lord). "So
shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in thethingwheretoIsentit"(Isaiah55:11). (SeealsoPsalm33:6.)
Inthe declaration ofthePsalmist, "Thouhas magnifiedthy word (Amar) above all thy name" (Psalm 138:2). We can see God making himself known by exalting His word that became flesh. The word of God (Amar Elohim) has became the actual revelation of God's outer self. According to these
passages, God's word was more than the expression ofGod's mind, thought, and purpose, transcending human conception of each of these expressions, foritaccomplishesthedesignofGod. "...Thesamewasinthebeginning
with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not...And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, t e glory as of the only begotten of the Father), full of grace and truth"

dynamic Word which created the world (I Corinthians 2:13). Certainly he is not attempting a philosophical argument.
This majestic presentation can also remind us of the passages in the Old es ament where God was revealing Himself to Moses and the children of srael, as in the burning bush in Exodus 3, or as on the Mount Sinai in
xo us34.ThatsameGodisnowmanifestedintheWordthatbecameflesh.
First, the Word is explicitly said to be Himself God, and God, of course is notamereimpersonalconcept. TheWordisallthatGodis, including

ISperson^. (Hebrews1:2-3).ThepersonhoodoftheWordisclearlyman ifested in the fact that personal activities are ascribed to him. This Word is sai to be the One through whom the world was created, the One who is the light and life of all men, and the One who came to, but was rejected byHisowncreation(John1:1-12). Heisthusdescribedinstronglyperson al terms that could not have been said of a mere "thought" or "expression." The Word which was in the Father is then rendered as explicit as possible in verse 14, which reads: "and the word was made flesh and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His glory the glory, as the only begotten ofthe Father), full
