Chapter One The Necessity of Biblical Theology
i t is time for people to abandon all misleading man made philosophies and come back to the original, true knowledge of the Living God. We must forfeit the doctrines of man in order to obtain the doctrine of God (Matthew 16:6,12; Philippians 3:2). (See also II Corinthians 6:14-16
and I Corinthians 5:8.)
The proliferation through the church age of unscriptural dogmas and creeds, still entertained in most traditional and even Pentecostal Bible col leges,remainsaheavyheritageofwhichweneedtoridourselvesof. This
heritage contributes to the perpetuation of man made doctrines such as agnosticism, pantheism, atheism, polytheism, and others never found in the Bible writers' theology.
Some theologians say, "The dangers that destroy the church do not come from science, but from diverse philosophies." For the most part, this age is saturated with atheism, pantheism, agnosticism, and many forms of poly theism. It is necessary for Christians to be always ready to make a defense
to every one who asks us to give an account for the hope that we have (IPeter3:15-18). Philippians 3:2; II Corinthians 6:14-16; Revelation 18; Jeremiah 6:16-21; 51:6- 10; Matthew 9:16,17; Deuteronomy 7:5; Acts 19:19; 17:10,11; I Timothy 1:4;
II Timothy 4:1-5; Acts 20:27-32; I John 4:1; Exodus 34:10-17.)
It is a sad fact that from the dawn of human history (even in the garden of Eden, as if it were inherent to human nature itselO false doctrines have time and again p>erniciously interwoven themselves with the true knowledge and
