precepts of the everlasting God to become an abomination in His sight. In the early days of the Christian era, we read in Matthew 16:6,12, "Then Jesus said unto them. Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees...Then understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees."
For those who have ears to hear the written word of God there is still a clarion call of the eternal God, spoken through generations of prophets, which will bring the hungry backfrom their falling away to His true law and precepts. The prophet Jeremiah said, "Thussaith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, v/here is the good way, and walk therein, andyeshall find rest for yoursouls^ But theysaid. We will not walk therein. Also I set watchmen over you, saying. Hearken to the sound of the trumpet. But they said. We will not hearken" (Jeremiah 6:16,17).
The same prophet, lamenting over the fate of Babylon, cried out warn ingofthe impending judgment for those who would refuse to come out of her: "Flee out of the midst of Babylon, and deliver every man his soul...We would have healed Babylon, but she is not healed: forsake her, and let us go
every one into his own country: for herjudgment reacheth unto heaven, and is lifted up even to the skies. The LORD hath brought forth our righteous ness: come, and let us declare in Zion the work of the LORD our God" (Jeremiah51:6,9,10). (SeealsoRevelation18:4.)
. Exodus 34:10-17 says, "And he said. Behold, I make a covenant: before all thy people I will do marvels, such as have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation: and all the people among which thou art shall see the work of
