became flesh (Jesus) was changed into Mary's nature. However, we must be careful not to take one part of a scripture out of context. The whole scrip ture should be examined. "But when the fullness of time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, to redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons."
The same word that is used to validate the claim that Jesus was "made" ofthefleshofearthlyMary, isusedagaininthesamescripture. Itsaysthat the Son was "made' under the law. If the argument is true that the Son was "made" of a part of the woman, we could also say that the Son was "made" out of a part of the law. Can we say part of Marjr 5flesh plus part of the law is equal Christ? No one would dare say that the Son (the flesh) was actually maaeoutofapartofthelaw. What Does ''MADE" Mean?
To gain a clear understanding of what this portion of scripture is really trying to say, we need to go to the Greek text. The Greek word that is used inbothinstancesinGalatians4:4is"ginomai". AccordingtotheStrong's Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible, ginomai" means "to cause to be, to become (come into being)", and notes it is used with "great latitude".
Thayer's defines it also as "l^rn". Thereby, a proper interpretation for this passage of scripture is that "God sent forth his Son, come into being ^rn)
of a woman, come into being (born) under the law." Jesus was without doubt "bom" at a time when the law of Moses was in force. He was also without doubt, bom of Mary.
Other possible definitions of "ginomai" are: "be fulfilled", "be kept", "be ordained , and "be found". None of these possible definitions imply that a partofMarywasusedinthemakingoftheflesh. "Ginomai"isnotusedto refer to the natural offspring, or the biological seed. Jesus cannot be the son
of the curse of the Law. Galatians 3:13; or of the sin of the woman. For David has said: "Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother con ceive me." (Psalm 51:5) Job also says: "Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? not one (Job 14:4) ...How then can man be justified with God? or how can he be clean that is born of a woman?" (Job25:4-6)
