Man who is the Word made flesh cannot partake of the Adamic nature. Christ is the sinless and holy Son of God by nature. By contrast, earthy man has the poison of asps under his lips, and is called a generation of vipers, children of the devil, and children of wrath because of being born in sin. (See Romans 3:13; James 3:1-18; Matthew 3:7; John 8:44; Ephesians 2:3).
5 To Destroy the Works of the Devil
"In the days of his flesh," "in the days of the Son of Man," and "in the fullness of time," are some of the biblical expressions that scripturally intro duce the dispensation of the manifestation in the flesh; the one and only God, who is Word and Spirit in full-fledged redemptive work on earth to destroy the work of the devil (Hebrews 5:7; Galatians 4:4). This fundamen tal truth, establishing the new covenant of God with man (Matthew 26:26- 28; Hebrews 10:9-10), is expressed in divers manners throughout the New T estament. The following scriptures speak for themselves, and shed light on the different facets of the mystery of the manifestation of God the Father in His own flesh (Hebrews 12:24). The genuineness of Jesus' heavenly flesh and blood made him pray to His divinity, which means that God in flesh was reconciling the world unto Himself, and not one divine person praying to another divine person. We must be very careful of stumbling at the words of Jesus' humanity. For the Bible says, "Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient: the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner and a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offense, even to them which stumble at the
word, being disobedient: where unto also they were appointed" (I Peter 2:7-8).
Let us beware of the evil movements that are deceiving men by their twisted dogmas and doctrines (Colossians 2:8-9). In our days, many horri fying cultic illusions are moving on the face of the earth. They totally deny the pure doctrine of our. salvation, and the saving divine manifestation of Jesus Christ (The God-Man). Charismatic leaders have totally denied the saving physical nature of Jesus Christ. They and others are teaching that their Christ is to them a son of earthly Adam, born with the nature of sin car rying the nature of Satan. They say, "he became one with the nature of Satan, so all those who have the nature of Satan can partake of the nature of God." They deny the salvation of the physical death of the holy Son of God. Instead, theyteachthatHefacedaterriblespiritualdeathinhell. Theytwist the interpretation of the word of God in Numbers 21:8-9, John 3:14, Galatians 3:13 and II Corinthians 5:21 saying "Moses hanged a serpent on the tree for the salvation of the Israelites...Christ was made sin, bearing the nature of Satan and was crucified on the cross" (Hanegraaff,155-170). Moses, however, did not crucify a natural serpent to save the people, but in the like ness of a serpent, he crucified a brass serpent, which has no natural rela-
