Creation is a witness to the existence of God. But people who walk in their own imaginations, "Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools. And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and four footed beasts, and creepingthings" (Romans1:20-23). ThegeneralrevelationofGoddidnot
lead the gentile world to any clear apprehension of the existence of God, the nature of God, or the will of God. Even philosophy did not give men a true concept ofGod. Paulwrites, "...inthewisdom ofGod theworld bywisdom knew not God..." (ICorinthians 1:21). He also said that "none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory" (I Corinthians 2:8).
