A Hades
The destiny of the wicked is Hades, pictured as a temporary place where the soul of sinners waits after death. This is a prison where they are tor mented, being fully conscious of their suffering. Luke 16:10-31, describing the rich man and Lazarus, clearly indicateshowmuchworseHadesisthan paradise. Revelation 20:14: "death and hell were cast into the lake of fire." A t last death, hell, and its host shall be judged on resurrection day.

Revelation20:14,"This(thelakeoffire)istheseconddeath." Thefateof sinners is to be separated from the face and presence of God for eternity. It is stated in II Thessalonians 1:8-10 that evildoers shall be cast into the lake of fire, and shall be tormented forever and ever. This indeed is the second death.
