upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to die fourth generation. And Moses made haste, and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshiped" (Exodus 34:5-8).
When Moses was proclaiming the decree of the name of God in Deuteronomy28:58,59,he warned the Israelites, "If thou wilt not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that thou mayest fear this glorious and fearful name, THE LORD THY GOD; Then the Lord will make thy plagues wonderful, and the plagues of thy seed, even great plagues, andoflongcontinuance, andsoresicknesses and of long continu ance."
When God appeared in the burning bush to Moses He proclaimed His namesaying,"IAMTHATIAM:andhesaid.Thusshaltthousayunto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you" (Exodus 3:14). The words, "I am that I am", are the expression of what God is. The name JEHOVAH^ istheexpressionofGod'sbeing.Lordship,andholiness. Godistruth,there fore, through His love He must be just and holy. "I am that I am" involves all these. Cherubims and seraphims continually cry Holy, Holy, Holy. He says "Be ye Holy for I am Holy." Jehovah, therefore, being what aria who He is, loves righteousness and hates iniquity. In Exodus 6:2-3 God said agam to Moses, "...I am the LORD: And I appeared unto Abraham, wt^aac, and unto Jacob, by the name ofGod Almighty, but by my name JEHOIAH was I not known to them."
When He spoke to Aaron and his sons through Moses He said, "Speak to ^ ^ n wd his sons, that they separate themselves from the holy things of ^ chil<^nofIsrael,andthattheyprofanenotmyholynameinthose

There are ample scriptures that declare God's covenant of eternal assur- ance for those who de^nd on His Name. For instance. Psalms 91:13-16 declares that, because tney have known his Name:
