that Salome had partly raised asked the family to go with him to the Finnish Pentecostal Mission. "These people definitely have more of God. A lady named Ruth, a mis sionary en route to India, will be speaking for a few days.
Please come and hear her."
Sophia refused to go, but Salome and her daughters
Marta and Aster accepted his invitation. As the service progressed, Salome trembled at the touch of the Spirit. "She ishaving a stroke!" Martathought and tookher
home.
Salome insisted on going again the next night, and
Sophia, becoming curious, followed them. That night Ruth interpreted a message in tongues that was given by a poor man in worn, patched trousers. He predicted revolution and much bloodshed ahead. A deep hunger for the Holy
Ghost filled this family, and they sought without receiv ing for two nights.
In the next meeting, a demon-possessed Coptic priest who was sent to spy on the service fell screaming to the floor. Salome's family watched Tekle and other leaders
rebuke the evil spirits, who immediately vacated that abode, making room for God's Spirit to fill the man. This victory as well as Tekle's worship and playing of the ac cordion touched Sophia's heart, and she impulsively in
vited all of them to her house for refreshments.
Marta received the Holy Spirit first, followed by the others, with Sophia being the last one to receive the prom
ised gift.
Sophia's heart overflowed with the fresh sweetness of God's Spirit, and this moved her to witness to the employees and neighbors at her dairy at Kuriftu, ten
kilometers from Nazareth.
