Tekle had won three churches to the truth in the Kambata District on one of his earlier tours. Addisse Tumeddedo traveled through the region with sound doc trine in word, song, and witness in 1975 and won thou sands of souls. Many preachers joined the ranks, and this alarmed the S.I.M. and Lutheran leaders enough to make charges against them to the local police. This did not deter the preachers much; they went in and came out of jail re joicing, time and again.
The church officials decided to take their complaints to the district administrator. "These men of the Apostolic church are winning our people to their belief," they accused.
"How do they persuade them to join their church?" the official questioned.
"W ith the Bible."
"Well, why don't you win them back with the Bible?"
