hear: "Lord, we rebuke Satan in the name of Jesus." "Jesus, send Your angel to bind this mob in Your name." "Let the angel of the Lord take action against these ungodly men and deliver Your children, in Your name, Jesus."
Something happened to the crowd. They stood mo tionless, almost as if they held their breath. No one spoke. "Come on," a leader scolded. "Speak up. Tell us what to do with them."
Half an hour of stony silence went by, then a priest tried to stand to make a recommendation, but something seemed to be holding him down. Finally, with supreme effort he got on his feet, but when he tried to open his mouth, he fell to the ground choking and gasping. The crowd fled in terror, confessing, "It looks as if the angel of the Lord is fighting for them; this must be the hand of God." They took the priest to the hospital, where he remained unable to speak for six months. The saints marched home with joy, singing a song of victory.
They only had the privilege of worshiping in their new sanctuary for four months before authorities seized it for a needed kindergarten. The parents of the town rebelled; they would not let their children be defiled by going where the Apostolics had worshiped. Asefa appealed again for burial ground, and the officials returned the land to the church.
A large group of people decided to attack the church during a service. They came armed with a fearful varie ty of weapons and planned to surround the chirrch com pletely so that no one could escape. No one has told what they saw as they approached the church, but something put such terror in them that they could not get away fast
